Users can participate in email-based discussion groups. Administrators can use moderation features to filter postings before they appear on the list. Any email client can be used for moderation. Setting up a community is simple and does not require IT or web development knowledge, giving your organization a powerful collaboration tool without additional management costs. The community’s creator determines an appropriate access security level and can make the community as public or restricted as needed. A portal community gives members the following tools:
File sharing: Allows users to upload, store, and download files within the community portal
Calendar: A common calendar for posting events for all members to see
Chat: Allows users to chat with other community members
Discussion: Hosts threaded discussions
News: Simplifies posting news items so the team can be kept up to date.
